Who we are
Heat Pump Grants NI (heatpumpgrantsni.co.uk) is an independent information service run by Lee Simpson trading as Heat Pump Grants NI, 4 Woodvale Road, Portstewart, County Londonderry, BT55 7HY, Northern Ireland. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under number C2050307. Contact us about your data at privacy@heatpumpgrantsni.co.uk.
What we collect
If you send a signup email, we receive your name, email address, postcode, optional phone number, current heating type, home ownership status and preferred timing. Enquiry emails include whatever information you choose to send. Please do not send sensitive information.
The eligibility checker runs in your browser. Its answers are not sent to us, stored by this site, or included in the signup email. The signup form prepares an email in your email app; pressing the website button alone does not submit your details or sign you up. You must send the email yourself.
Why we use it
We use your signup email to maintain a grant update list and send occasional Northern Ireland heat pump and home energy grant updates, based on your consent. We use enquiry emails to answer your questions, based on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. No grant approval or alert delivery time is guaranteed.
We do not sell your information or pass it to installers. If we introduce installer referrals later, we will explain the recipients and ask for separate consent first.
Services involved
The website is hosted using OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. Hosting services may process technical information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect the website. Email sent to our domain is forwarded by Freeola to our Sky email inbox, where we manage enquiries and signup requests. Your own email provider also processes the message you send.
There is no external form submission service or automated newsletter platform connected to this site. Service providers may process information outside the UK under their applicable data protection arrangements. Their privacy notices explain their processing: OpenAI, Cloudflare, Freeola and Sky.
How long we keep it
We keep signup details until you withdraw consent and review the list at least annually. We aim to remove your signup details within 30 days of an unsubscribe or deletion request. We normally keep ordinary enquiry correspondence for up to 12 months after the last exchange, unless a longer period is needed for an ongoing matter or a legal obligation.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your information, or request restriction or object to processing where applicable. You can withdraw consent to updates at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Email privacy@heatpumpgrantsni.co.uk or write to the address above. To stop updates, email hello@heatpumpgrantsni.co.uk with “Unsubscribe”. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Cookies and browser storage
We have not added advertising cookies, analytics trackers or a Facebook pixel. The site does not store signup details in cookies or browser storage. Hosting providers may use security mechanisms to protect and deliver the website. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes requests to Google; see Google's privacy policy. External links have their own privacy notices.
Automated decisions
The checker gives general guidance, not a decision about eligibility or access to funding. Scheme providers decide eligibility and availability. We do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.
